Role Purpose
As the Women’s First Team Assistant Coach, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the First Team Head Coach to deliver a high-performance programme and achieve competitive success.  You will play a key role in the development of players, upholding the club’s vision and values, and help support the club to achieve it’s long-term aspirations of competing at the highest level in Women’s football.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and delivering high quality coaching sessions aligned with the club’s playing philosophy.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support match preparation.
  • Collaborate with the MDT staff to ensure the players’ physical conditioning, nutrition, and overall well-being are addressed.
  • Contribute to individual player development plans, and lead on supporting the transition of B team and/or U18 players into 1st team environment.
  • Collaborate with the MDT to optimise player performance and welfare.
  • Support the Women’s department in any administrative tasks, team meetings, and strategic decision-making processes.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and feedback to individual players to enhance their technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall performance.
  •  Carry out regular performance reviews in line with Company guidelines.

About The Candidate

Qualifications & Knowledge
  • Hold a minimum of a UEFA B Goalkeeping Licence.
  • Significant experience of working in a professional football club.
  • Experience of working with female athletes.
  • Commitment to the long-term vision and growth within the club.
  • Be a member or intend to become a member of the FA Licensed Coaching Club.
  • Hold in date and valid FA Safeguarding Children and Basic First Aid for Sport (BFAS) or Emergency Aid (EFAiF) certification.
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proficient in the use of key software, including analysis programmes.
  • Experience of designing and implementing Individual Development Plans to players within a professional environment.
