Position Overview
One Knoxville SC, a professional soccer club competing in USL League One, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Goalkeeper Coach. This individual will play a key role in developing and enhancing the performance of the club’s goalkeepers, working collaboratively with the coaching staff to achieve team objectives and maintain the club’s standards of excellence.
- Goalkeeper Development: Design and implement training sessions tailored to improve technical, tactical, and physical skills specific to goalkeeping.
- Match Preparation: Analyze opponent tendencies and prepare goalkeepers for upcoming matches, focusing on decision-making, positioning, and distribution strategies.
- Performance Analysis: Use video and data analysis to evaluate goalkeeper performances during training and matches, providing actionable feedback for improvement.
- Collaboration with Coaching Staff: Work closely with the Head Coach and other staff members to integrate goalkeeping training into overall team tactics and game plans.
- Talent Identification: Assist in scouting and recruiting goalkeepers who align with the club’s playing philosophy and standards.
- Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and role model for goalkeepers, fostering a positive environment that encourages growth and development.
- Community Engagement: Participate in club events, fan engagement initiatives, and community outreach programs as a representative of One Knoxville SC.
- Licensing:
- Minimum of a USSF B License or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Proven track record of coaching goalkeepers at the collegiate, professional, or elite youth level.
- Playing experience as a goalkeeper at a competitive level is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of goalkeeping techniques, tactics, and strategies.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
